Grace & Truth

Kyle Wade
Library - 701
The Gospel of John tells us that Jesus came full of grace and full of truth. For most of us, we tend to lean towards one over the other. Many know God from the side of truth, seeing him primarily as a judge and king and ruler. Others know God primarily through a lens of grace and mercy and kindness. When we lean too heavily on one side, we miss either God's kindness or his authority and power. We can’t afford to miss either. Join us as we wrestle with God in the Gospels that is full of both grace and truth.

“Revelation: Seeing the World Through Heaven’s Eyes”

David & Laneida Calabrese
Room 603
Do you love the deep questions of life? Do you love wrestling with God? Is He good? Why are we here? Why is there so much brokenness in this world? Why do we have to go through these struggles? Our story began in Genesis, but we will continue to examine the childhood stories of our faith and examine them from an adult perspective, looking at the fall and continued brokenness of man, the blessings of God, who consistently keeps His promise through the Story we get to live in.

Connections Class: Young Adults
“Experience Jesus, Really”

Tom Farris
Hali Room- 401
We understand from the Apostle Paul in his letter he wrote to the Christians in Colossae that Jesus dwells within the believer and as such, it is a mystery and the hope of our glory. What does that really mean? Is it just an intellectual understanding or can you experience Jesus in a more intimate way. John Eldredge has a new book, “Experience Jesus. Really.” The book explores Christian Mysticism and the way in which our ancestors in faith may have experienced Jesus and the Father in ways that we have lost. As we explore this book you may understand better how God is your refuge in an experiential way. You may find you are a Christian mystic or may at least develop the desire to become one.
